TheRepublic is a think tank dedicated to new, objective, and values-based center-right politics.
In a time of increasing societal polarization and a noticeable leftward shift in German politics over recent years, we present a conscious countermodel. Our mission is to give voice to the concerns and perspectives of those who take daily responsibility for our country: in politics, business, and society.
TheRepublic goes beyond traditional formats of political communication. As a strategically oriented think tank, we develop well-founded analyses, innovative concepts, and effective public outreach. Our goal is to reinvigorate public debate, actively contribute to political decision-making processes, and promote an open yet clear discourse rooted in classical liberal and conservative values.
Through our own platforms and channels, the development of multipliers, the production of pointed content and campaigns, as well as targeted projects in cooperation with our partners, we support the civic camp in stepping out of the defensive. We set our own editorial priorities, produce successful civil society formats in the digital space, and enhance the campaigning capabilities of liberal-conservative forces in our country.
Our aim is to become the liberal-conservative voice in Germany’s pre-political sphere. Through our work, we seek to actively influence public opinion and challenge the political left’s dominance in shaping societal discourse. To achieve this, we are building a network of liberal-conservative multipliers and training the next generation of civil society leaders in public debate.

Our Vision
We advocate for a Germany in which traditional values and the hard-won principles of the Enlightenment form the stable foundation of a free and responsible society. Our goal is a culture of open, objective debate—free from ideological constraints—where freedom of speech remains protected as a fundamental right. In such an environment, citizens and liberal-conservative organizations can pursue their economic, social, and personal goals without restriction.
This vision of Germany is rooted in the cultural and intellectual heritage of Western civilization and ensures its transmission to future generations—forming the basis for long-term stability, individual liberty, and social prosperity.
Our Mission
TheRepublic is committed to constructively promoting a future-proof society in which achievement, personal responsibility, and individual freedom are recognized and protected. We oppose tendencies that narrow public discourse in a one-sided manner or politicize it, especially where media and political influences lead to regulatory measures that hinder economic development and increase the burden on citizens.
We critically observe the growing narrowing of societal debate spaces, as sometimes encouraged by political, academic, or media actors. One of our central concerns is to counteract the increasing homogenization of values, particularly when these are normatively shaped by state-funded institutions.
We are dedicated to strengthening rule-of-law principles such as the separation of powers, equality before the law, and individual liberties to secure the foundations for a stable, diverse, and prosperous society.
